Appleton Academy

Coronavirus

Coronavirus has been prevalent in the news in the last few days, particularly cases in Northern Italy and Spain.

In response to this, we have asked students and staff at Appleton Academy to speak to us if they have travelled to any of the particular areas currently of concern. At present, no-one has advised us that they have travelled to these areas i.e. during half term and we have no concerns about anyone at Appleton Academy.

However, in response to the news, we thought it prudent to share the latest government advice with parents regarding the virus, which can be found in the link below:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-to-educational-settings-about-covid-19/guidance-to-educational-settings-about-covid-19

If you have travelled to an area of concern, please heed the advice in the link and advise us if we need to be aware. In the meantime, we will continue to monitor government advice and provide any information to parents we are asked to. However, we would reiterate that there are no concerns about Appleton Academy, our students, staff or parents at this time.
