Results Day

Results Day this year will take place on Thursday 21 August 2025 for GCSE, BTECs, Cambridge Nationals and Other Level 2 Qualifications. Results day at Appleton Academy is always a busy event and student results should be collected between 9.00am and 11.00am at the Primary Sports Hall.

Students are expected to attend school in person to collect their results. Staff will also be available in school during results day to assist any student whose results are below expectation.

It is school policy that results will not be given over the telephone, however, for the first time this year, we will be able to email results directly to students and their parents through Arbor. Results will also be available to view on the Arbor parent app after 12.00pm on Thursday 21 August 2025.

We will accommodate requests for alternative arrangements as outlined below, but these should be arranged before leaving for the summer break:

1. Stamped self addressed envelopes for results to be posted to students must be handed in to reception staff before the end of the school year.

2. If students wish to provide written authorisation for someone else (including parents) to collect their results on the day, the request must identify who the person is who is collecting the results, and their relationship to them. The person collecting the results must be the designated person and they MUST bring some form of photographic ID with them.

3. Requests for review of GCSE marking/copy exam scripts can be made until Thursday 25 September 2025. After that date, no further reviews of marking are possible (Exam Board Rules). Please see the JCQ website link below for further details regarding the appeals process. We will write to parents prior to exam results day with more information.
