Message from West Yorkshire Police

West Yorkshire Police would like to make parents and students aware of a vape which has resulted in a child needing hospital care. Although this specific incident did not occur at your child’s school or in South Bradford specifically, we believe this vape is being sold in this area.

The vape is called Purple Haze and although it doesn’t appear to have any signage suggesting illicit content, it is clear that the vape does contain drug content, which makes it potentially extremely harmful to anyone using it, especially children.

If you become aware of anyone you care for using this vape, we would encourage you to ask them to stop doing so immediately. If anyone has information about the source of the purchase or sale of these vapes, please report this to West Yorkshire Police by calling 101, or using the links on your Neighbourhood Policing Team webpage.

Thank you for your help in protecting the wellbeing of our young people.
