Careers Programme

SkillsHouse Careers and Technical Education (CTE)

We believe that preparing young people to progress positively into a rewarding and happy future requires expert support. By working with us, you can be confident in the knowledge that our high quality, impartial careers advice and guidance service will help your students reach their full potential and give them the best possible start for their future.

It is vital that students at all levels of ability receive the appropriate advice in order to maximise their potential.  This will enable them to choose their own pathways, improve their life opportunities and contribute to a successful economy. To help with this, our careers officer will work with students across all years and placing specific focus on Year 11, to ensure that all students are offered a personalised guidance interview leading to a positive destination. This is supported by our team of Work Experience and Curriculum and Pathways advisers who will work with school to develop industry links and placements.

Post 16 support is available from SkillsHouse, our local powerhouse of education, training and skill development, for anyone needing additional support to access opportunities.
